Volunteer Appreciation MonthPrint this page
As we observe National Volunteer Week (April 15-21), Spruce Lodge/Woodland Towers would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to our wonderful team of volunteers, for all they do to serve our residents and assist our staff.
Volunteering is a choice that our exceptional volunteers have made on behalf of our organization. And so at this time of year, we’re proud to recognize our volunteers’ role in improving our residents’ lives.
At Spruce Lodge /Woodland Towers volunteers add their own personal touch to help provide comfort to residents and family members. Our volunteers also tell us their experience is personally satisfying, challenging and fun when they use their skills, talents and free time to benefit others.
We always welcome new volunteers to Spruce Lodge to join our team. If you have a talent, skill or passion that you want to share, we are committed to making your experience fulfilling for you. You will make a difference!
Volunteers serve as a liaison between the community and the Residents of Spruce Lodge/Woodland Towers Volunteers enable us to implement new programs or continue current ones, breathing life into the programs we offer and bringing added vitality and companionship into the lives of our residents.
Our Spruce Lodge Continuum of Care includes 128 long term care beds at Spruce Lodge, 3 apartment towers with supportive services (2 are fully accessible) and 68 single story, life-lease garden homes at Hamlet Estates.
At Spruce Lodge there are endless volunteering positions to choose from. Currently we are looking for volunteers to help with visiting our residents, Cafe and Pub, Pool Program, Portering to and from programs, Worship Service, Playing the piano for Worship Service the 4th Thursday of the month, Outings and Special Events, Manicures and many more.
